Assistant

Function: Operation Location: Greater Toronto Area, Hybrid/Remote

The assistant provides key support to the wealth advisor, focusing on the day-to-day operation of the business.

Job Type: Contract, Part-Time

Responsibilities:

Trading and operation:

  • Set up system trade entries promptly and accurately as directed by the advisor
  • Conduct daily trade reconciliation to ensure all system entries are accurate and timely
  • Support the advisor with client portfolio reviews to ensure alignment with risk profiles and investment strategies
  • Coordinate and manage meeting schedules with clients and business partners
  • Manage day-to-day operational communications with internal and external parties, investigate and resolve issues, and identify solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Gather research and product information from various sources

Client administration and account management:

  • Manage all aspects of client accounts, from initial opening to ongoing maintenance.
  • Ensure all client documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory requirements, and proactively follow up on missing information.
  • Prepare comprehensive presentations for clients, including performance, asset allocation, financial planning, etc.

Client services and relationship management:

  • Manage client inquiries professionally and responsibly, ensuring all interactions are accurately documented.
  • Process client requests on deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other account-related matters.
  • Develop, distribute, and maintain education and marketing materials

Business Growth:

  • Contribute to business growth by generating ideas and recommendations to offer additional value to clients

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education is required
  • 3+ years of experience in the finance/wealth industry preferred, ideally as an assistant
  • Native/fluent in English is required; fluent in a second language is a plus
